Asbury Chapel Spiritual Center to host Special Screening.
Hopewell, Ohio – The Asbury Chapel proudly announces a special screening of ILLUSION, starring Kirk Douglas in the performance of a lifetime.

Plot:
This award-winning feature tells the story of a once powerful but now old and ailing film producer, Donald Baines (played by Kirk Douglas) who finds himself in deep regret over rejecting his only child, an illegitimate son named Christopher. Master of the romantic pictures, Baines himself never married and was emotionally unable to claim the child born of an on-set affair. Now on his deathbed, he is troubled by thoughts of the son he never came forth to claim. The son, Christopher, is haunted by the knowledge that his father never wanted him. Now, surrounded by hospice staff, Baines seems ready to admit defeat. Realizing that the end is closer than he imagined, Baines is shown the Akashic Records of his life and is forced to choose between letting the scene end tragically or stepping forward to right past wrongs.

This excellant film was released last year (we think) in only one theater. It will not be released in theaters nationally. Asbury Chapel is the only place in central Ohio where it will be shown. See this film on the big screen with pop corn.
